Little Medical School: Grades 1-6

Little Medical School inspires young minds by sharing our passion for learning, health and careers in medicine. Through hands-on activities, role-play, and interactive demonstrations, children explore the exciting world of healthcare. All programs are written by experienced educators, board-certified physicians and trained healthcare professionals. Our classes are led by trained Little Medical School ® Instructors.

Little Vet School for Dogs & Cats:   Every dog and cat needs a friend! In this summer camp, students will role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian and learn how to care for dogs and cats. These future veterinarians will learn how to give a nose to tail exam, suture lacerations, give immunizations, discover the elements that make up a cat’s blood, remove ticks from a dog, read an x-ray, explore their digestion and understand dog and cat body language.

Wilderness Medicine Camp: Conquer the great outdoors! Camp participants will role play emergency situation in the wild and learn how to prepare for natural disasters. These future emergency medics will learn about snake bites, hypothermia, tourniquets, poisonous plants, edible plants, distress signals, forest fires, tornadoes, mosquito bites, and more.

Little Medical School Camp:  Little Medical School brings science, healthcare, and the exciting world of medicine to children in a creative, fun and interactive way. Students receive their white lab coat and learn to use real medical instruments including a reflex hammer, blood pressure cuff, and their own stethoscope. They will explore how the incredible heart, lungs, and digestive system work and how to keep them healthy. They become a surgeon for the day and learn to suture and tie knots. On the last day, they will participate in the LMS graduation ceremony with fellow campers, inspired to become tomorrow’s healthcare heroes.
